- 2 pieces white sandwich bread
- 1/3 cup milk
- 2 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 1/2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 3 lb lean ground beef
- 3 scallions (optional)
- 8 hamburger buns
Steps
- Soak the bread in the milk in a large bowl for 3 minutes.
- Mix in the salt, pepper, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and ketchup.
- Add the beef and scallions, then form eight equal patties in 5 minutes.
- Cook the patties in an oiled large skillet over medium-high heat for 10 minutes, turning once, until they reach 160 F.
- Toast the hamburger buns in the skillet for 5 minutes.
