Ingredients
- 2 cups strawberries
- 6 tbsp butter
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 3/4 cup flour
- 3 eggs
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 1 tsp fresh orange zest
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2/3 cup powdered sugar
Steps
- Heat the oven to 400 F and grease a 9-inch round baking pan.
- Boil the butter, water, and sugar in a saucepan, then stir in the flour until a smooth ball forms.
- Cool the dough for 5 minutes, beat in the eggs one at a time, and spread it in the pan.
- Bake for 25 minutes, until puffed and firm, then cool completely.
- Beat the cream cheese, orange zest, vanilla, heavy cream, and powdered sugar until thick and smooth.
- Spread the filling over the cooled shell and top with the strawberries.
