Ingredients
- 1 yellow cake mix
- 1 cup sour cream
- 4 eggs
- 1 instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tsp almond extract
- 1 pint heavy whipping cream
- 3 1/2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 lb fresh strawberries
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp butter
- 2 tsp almond extract
- 1 1/2 tbsp milk
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and grease a 9-by-13-inch baking pan.
- Beat the cake mix, sour cream, eggs, pudding mix, oil, water, and 2 teaspoons almond extract until smooth.
- Spread the batter in the pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until set.
- Whip the heavy cream with 3 1/2 tablespoons powdered sugar until firm, then chill it.
- Cook the butter, 2 cups powdered sugar, milk, and remaining almond extract in a small saucepan over low heat until smooth.
- Cool the cake for 10 minutes, spread on the whipped cream, add the strawberries, and drizzle with the glaze.
