- 2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup cinnamon chips (optional)
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and grease a 9-by-13-inch baking pan with cooking oil.
- Whisk the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cream of tartar, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Beat the butter and brown sugar in a large bowl until smooth, then beat in the eggs and vanilla.
- Stir the dry mixture into the butter mixture until combined, then fold in the cinnamon chips if using.
- Spread the batter evenly in the pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the center is set.
- Cool the blondies in the pan for 15 minutes before cutting them into squares.
