Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp cinnamon
Steps
- Heat the oven to 375 F and grease two baking sheets with butter.
- Beat the butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar until creamy, then beat in the eggs and vanilla.
- Stir in the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt until a soft dough forms.
- Mix the remaining sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
- Shape the dough into small balls, roll them in the cinnamon sugar, and place them on the baking sheets.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, until the edges are set, then cool for 5 minutes.
