6 lb boneless pork shoulder chuck roast
1 tbsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup your favorite bbq sauce
1 tbsp liquid smoke (optional)
2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
3 large garlic cloves
2 tbsp brown sugar

Steps

Slice the onion, mince the garlic, and mix the salt, pepper, paprika, and brown sugar.
Rub the seasoning over the pork shoulder and place it in a slow cooker with the onion and garlic.
Pour in the broth, Worcestershire sauce, and liquid smoke if using.
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours and 15 minutes, until the pork reaches 145 F and shreds easily.
Shred the pork, discard excess fat, and stir in the barbecue sauce.
