- 1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup packed fresh basil leaves
- 2 tbsp capers
- 1 tsp anchovy paste
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- freshly ground black pepper
- salt (optional)

- Pulse the garlic, basil, olives, capers, anchovy paste, and lemon zest in a food processor until chunky.
- Add the olive oil and lemon juice, then pulse until combined.
