Ingredients

1 tsp oil
1 large sweet onion
2 cloves garlic
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
14 oz sirloin tip steaks or 12 -16 ounces flank steaks
1/4 cup beef stock or 1/4 cup red wine
4 slices your favourite thick toasted bread

Steps

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat, add the sliced onion, and cook for 15 minutes until golden.
Add the garlic and cayenne, then cook for 1 minute.
Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, oyster sauce, balsamic vinegar, and beef stock, then simmer for 5 minutes.
Season the steaks with salt and pepper and sear them in a hot skillet for 4 minutes per side, until they reach 145 F.
Toast the bread in the skillet for 2 minutes per side.
Slice the steaks and fill the toasted bread with the steak and onion mixture.
