- 1 lb ground sirloin or regular ground beef
- 1 tbsp taco seasoning (optional)
- 1 can (15 oz) whole kernel corn
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans
- 1 diced tomatoes with green chilies
- 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 6 tbsp sour cream
- chopped green onion or cilantro for garnish (optional)
Steps
- Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium-high heat for 6 minutes, breaking it apart until it reaches 160 F.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and black pepper for 30 seconds.
- Add the corn, black beans, diced tomatoes with green chilies, and water.
- Simmer the chili uncovered over medium heat for 8 minutes, stirring twice.
- Spoon the chili into bowls and top each portion with sour cream and chopped green onion or cilantro.
