Ingredients
- 5 lb beef brisket
- 4 tbsp liquid smoke
- 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- salt and pepper
- 1 bottle barbecue sauce
Steps
- Heat the oven to 250°F.
- Mix the liquid smoke, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
- Place the brisket in a roasting pan and rub it all over with the seasoning mixture.
- Cover the pan tightly with foil and bake for 4 hours 10 minutes, until tender and at least 145°F inside.
- Brush the brisket with barbecue sauce and bake uncovered for 10 minutes.
- Rest the brisket for 10 minutes before slicing against the grain.
