Ingredients
- 3 3/4 lb beef brisket
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1/2 large yellow onion
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup bbq sauce
- 1 tbsp cumin
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tbsp ground mustard
Steps
- Mix the cumin, paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, cayenne, salt, and ground mustard, then coat the brisket.
- Set a 6-quart pressure cooker to sauté, heat the avocado oil, and brown the brisket for 10 minutes.
- Add the onion and garlic, and cook for 5 minutes.
- Pour in the beef broth and barbecue sauce, lock the lid, and cook on high pressure for 60 minutes.
- Let the pressure release naturally for 20 minutes, then carefully release any remaining pressure.
- Rest the brisket for 10 minutes, then slice it against the grain and spoon the cooking sauce over it.
