Ingredients
- 1 lb tomatillos
- 2 jalapeños
- 1/4 large white onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/4 tsp cumin (optional)
- 1/4 tsp salt (optional)
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
- 1/2 lime
- 1 drizzle avocado oil (optional)
Steps
- Heat the broiler and line a baking sheet with foil.
- Remove the tomatillo husks, then place the tomatillos, jalapeños, onion, and garlic on the sheet.
- Broil the vegetables for 5 to 7 minutes, turning once, until lightly charred and softened.
- Blend the roasted vegetables with cilantro, lime juice, cumin, salt, and avocado oil until mostly smooth.
- Cool the salsa for 5 minutes before serving.
