Ingredients
- 1 tbsp canola oil
- 1/2 cup uncooked long grain rice
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tbsp onion soup mix
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb ground pork
- 10 oz tomato soup
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
Steps
- Mix the rice, one-half cup water, onion soup mix, and garlic powder in a bowl.
- Add the beef and pork, then mix until combined.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs.
- Heat the canola oil in a large skillet over medium heat and brown the meatballs for 8 minutes.
- Stir the tomato soup, one-half cup water, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce together.
- Pour the sauce over the meatballs, cover the skillet, and simmer for 45 minutes.
- Check that the meatballs reach 160 F before serving.
