Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/8 cups cooking oil
- 2 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 1/2 tbsp poppy seeds
- 1 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and grease a 9-by-13-inch baking pan with cooking oil.
- Whisk the flour, salt, baking powder, eggs, oil, sugar, milk, poppy seeds, and extracts until smooth.
- Spread the batter in the pan and bake for 28 minutes, until the center is firm.
- Stir the remaining sugar, orange juice, and extracts in a small bowl.
- Pour the glaze over the warm bread and cool it for 2 minutes before slicing.
