Ingredients
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips or melts/ semi sweet chocolate chips
- 4 tbsp cream
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips or melts/ semi sweet chocolate chips
- 100 g / 7 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 1/2 cup caster/superfine sugar
- 2 tbsp flour
- ice-cream or cream
- cocoa or icing sugar / powdered sugar (optional)
- strawberries (optional)
Steps
- Heat the oven to 425 F.
- Coat four 6-ounce ramekins with cooking oil.
- Melt 1/2 cup chocolate chips with the cream in a microwave-safe bowl, using 30-second bursts.
- Melt 1 cup chocolate chips with the butter in a separate bowl, then cool for 5 minutes.
- Whisk the eggs, yolks, and sugar in a large bowl until smooth.
- Stir in the melted chocolate mixture and flour.
- Fill each ramekin halfway, add a spoonful of the cream mixture, cover with batter, and bake for 12 minutes until the cakes are firm around the edges.
