Ingredients
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 box (15 1/4 oz) yellow cake mix
- 4 large eggs
- 1 container (8 oz) sour cream
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1/4 cup half-and half
- 2 tsp vanilla
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and grease a 9-by-13-inch baking pan with oil.
- Stir the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg together.
- Beat the cake mix, eggs, sour cream, oil, and two teaspoons vanilla until smooth.
- Spread half the batter in the pan and cover it with the brown sugar mixture.
- Spread the remaining batter over the filling.
- Bake for 30 to 32 minutes, until the center is set.
- Stir the confectioners' sugar, half-and-half, and remaining vanilla, then spread the glaze over the warm cake.
