250 g dried chickpeas
2 tsp coriander seeds crushed
3 tsp ground cumin

2 large garlic cloves crushed
small bunch of parsley leaves picked and roughly chopped
small bunch of coriander leaves picked and roughly chopped
3/4 tsp baking powder

sunflower oil for frying (optional)

Steps

Cover the dried chickpeas with water and soak them for 30 minutes.
Drain the chickpeas and pulse them with garlic, parsley, coriander, spices, baking powder, salt, and sesame seeds until coarse.
Shape the mixture into small patties and rest them for 10 minutes.
Heat 1 inch of sunflower oil in a deep skillet to 350 F.
Fry the patties for 3 to 4 minutes per side until browned and firm.
