Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups / 375g plain flour
- 1 cup / 220g white sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup / 125 ml vegetable oil
- 1 1/3 cups / 290g sour cream
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 60 g / 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 tbsp cinnamon powder
- 3/4 cup / 165 g brown sugar
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and grease a 9-by-5-inch loaf pan with butter.
- Whisk the flour, white sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
- Stir in the eggs, oil, sour cream, and vanilla until a thick batter forms.
- Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
- Spread half the batter in the pan, sprinkle on half the cinnamon sugar, add the remaining batter, and finish with the remaining sugar.
- Swirl the batter with a knife and bake for 55 to 60 minutes, until the center is set.
- Cool the loaf in the pan for 15 minutes before slicing.
