Ingredients
- 1 red onion halved and thinly sliced
- 1 lime juiced
- 1 pinch sugar
- 4 sausages
- 6 rashers streaky bacon
- 200 g tortilla chips
- 200 g cooked chicken or turkey
- 100 g cranberry sauce
- 150 g melty cheese use anything from the cheeseboard such as cheddar
- 1 tsp olive oil
- small bunch of sage leaves picked
Steps
- Toss the sliced onion with lime juice and sugar, then let it stand for 20 minutes.
- Cook the sausages in a large skillet with the oil over medium heat for 12 minutes, turning until they reach 160 F.
- Cook the bacon in the same skillet for 8 minutes until crisp, then crumble it.
- Spread the tortilla chips on a large baking sheet and layer on the chicken, sausage, bacon, cranberry sauce, cheese, sage, and onions.
- Check that the thickest part of the poultry reaches 165 F before serving.
- Bake at 400 F for 10 minutes until the cheese melts.
