Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1 1/3 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 9 tbsp salted butter
- 12 oz semisweet chocolate chips
- 40 soft caramel candies
- 6 tbsp milk or cream
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and line a 9-by-13-inch pan with baking paper.
- Stir the flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt with the melted butter.
- Press half the mixture into the pan and bake for 10 minutes.
- Melt the caramels with the milk or cream in a saucepan over low heat for 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the crust, pour on the caramel, and crumble the remaining oat mixture over top.
- Bake for 25 minutes, then cool for 20 minutes before cutting.
