Ingredients
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 onion
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp water
- 1/2 cup italian breadcrumbs for meat mix
- 1 1/2 cups italian breadcrumbs to coat meatballs
Steps
- Mix the pork, chicken, egg, mayonnaise, grated onion, water, salt, pepper, and one-half cup breadcrumbs in a large bowl.
- Shape the mixture into 10 small, even patties.
- Coat each patty with the remaining breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook the patties in batches for 5 to 6 minutes per side.
- Cook ground meat until it reaches 160 F inside.
- Check that the centers reach 165 F, then rest the patties for 2 minutes before serving.
