- 2 packages (1/4 oz) active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm 2% milk
- 2 large eggs
- 5 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 5/8 cup chopped pecans
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Steps
- Dissolve the yeast in warm milk, then mix in 5 tablespoons melted butter, 1/2 cup sugar, eggs, and salt.
- Stir in the flour, knead until smooth, cover, and let the dough rise for 10 minutes.
- Melt 1 cup butter with brown sugar and corn syrup in a saucepan, then spread the mixture in a greased 9-by-13-inch pan and sprinkle with pecans.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle, spread it with 2 tablespoons softened butter, and sprinkle it with sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll the dough tightly, cut it into 15 pieces, and arrange the pieces over the caramel.
- Bake at 375 F for 18 to 20 minutes, then carefully invert the hot rolls onto a tray.
