Ingredients
- 5 1/2 large fresh basil leaves (optional)
- 2 cloves garlic
- 3 1/2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 large lemon and 1/2 the lemon cut into wedges
- 1/4 tsp italian seasoning
- to taste kosher salt and ground black pepper (optional)
- 1 1/8 lb salmon
Steps
- Heat the oven to 400 F and place the salmon on a large sheet of foil.
- Melt the butter and stir in the honey, lemon juice, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the butter mixture over the salmon and top it with the basil leaves.
- Seal the foil packet and place it on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the salmon reaches 145 F and flakes easily.
- Open the packet carefully and serve with lemon wedges.
