- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3/4 tsp red chilli flakes
- 3 lb chicken legs and/or thighs
- 4 green onions
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
Steps
- Heat the oven to 425 F and coat a 9-by-13-inch baking dish with vegetable oil.
- Whisk the honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, vegetable oil, and chili flakes in a bowl.
- Arrange the chicken in the dish and coat it with half of the sauce.
- Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, basting with the remaining sauce halfway through.
- Continue baking for 5 to 10 minutes, until the thickest chicken pieces reach 165 F.
- Top the chicken with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
