Ingredients
- 4 8 oz boneless ribeye steaks
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 7 oz brown mushrooms
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp plain flour
- 2 1/2 cups beef broth
- 2 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 pinch salt (optional)
- 1 pinch pepper (optional)
Steps
- Season the steaks with salt and pepper.
- Heat the oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat, then sear the steaks for 3 to 4 minutes per side until they reach 145 F; transfer them to a plate.
- Cook the onion, garlic, and mushrooms in the skillet for 4 minutes.
- Melt the butter, stir in the flour, and cook for 1 minute.
- Whisk in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, then simmer for 4 minutes until thickened.
- Return the steaks to the skillet and warm them in the gravy for 1 minute.
