Ingredients
- 1 small red onion very finely sliced
- 4 tbsp white wine vinegar or enough to cover the red onion
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tsp olive oil or vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp capers
- 2 bagels cut in half
- 3 tsp butter softened
- 4 tbsp soft cheese
- 100 g smoked trout
Steps
- Cover the sliced onion with white wine vinegar and sugar for 5 minutes.
- Heat the oil in a small skillet over medium heat.
- Fry the capers for 3 minutes, then transfer them to a plate.
- Toast the bagel halves in the skillet for 2 minutes per side.
- Spread the bagels with butter and soft cheese.
- Top with smoked trout, drained onion, and crispy capers.
