Ingredients
- 12 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 package (18 oz) brownie mix
- water
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3 cups sweetened coconut flakes
- 1 bag (12 oz) caramels
- 3 tbsp milk or cream
- 1/3 semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 pinch salt
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and line a 9-by-13-inch baking pan with parchment.
- Mix the butter, powdered sugar, flour, and salt, press the dough into the pan, and bake for 10 minutes.
- Stir the brownie mix with water and spread the batter over the crust, then bake for 15 minutes.
- Toast the coconut in a dry skillet over medium heat for 5 minutes.
- Melt the caramels with the milk in a saucepan over low heat for 7 minutes, then stir in the toasted coconut.
- Spread the caramel mixture over the brownies, melt the chocolate chips with butter and salt, and drizzle it over the top.
