1 tbsp black pepper
1/2 tbsp salt

Steps

Rinse the kidney beans and place them in a pressure cooker with the onion, scotch bonnets, salt, black pepper, and enough water to cover them by two inches.
Cook at high pressure for 25 minutes, then let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes.
Open the cooker carefully and check that the beans are tender.
