2 tsp vanilla
3 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup hot water

Steps

Brown 2 cups butter in a saucepan over medium heat for 5 minutes, reserve 1/2 cup, and cool the remaining butter briefly.
Beat the cooled butter, brown sugar, eggs, and 2 teaspoons vanilla until smooth.
Mix in baking soda, baking powder, salt, flour, and pecans to form a soft dough.
Drop the dough onto a greased baking sheet and bake at 350 F for 8 to 10 minutes, until set.
Whisk the reserved brown butter, remaining vanilla, powdered sugar, and hot water into a glaze.
Spread the glaze over the warm cookies and cool them for 2 minutes.
