Ingredients
- 15 oz box of chocolate cake mix or your own homemade recipe
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 24 york peppermint patties to put on each cupcake
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and place 24 paper liners in muffin pans.
- Beat the cake mix, vegetable oil, eggs, and water in a large bowl until smooth.
- Fill each liner halfway with batter and place one peppermint patty in each cup.
- Cover the patties with the remaining batter until the cups are about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, then cool the cupcakes in the pans for 5 minutes.
