Ingredients
- 2 cups cake flour
- 1 2/3 cups bread flour
- 1 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp coarse salt
- 2 1/2 sticks unsalted butter
- 1 1/4 cups light brown sugar
- 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp natural vanilla extract
- 1 package chocolate chips
- sea salt
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and line two baking sheets with baking paper.
- Whisk the cake flour, bread flour, baking soda, baking powder, and coarse salt in a bowl.
- Beat the butter and both sugars until smooth, then beat in the eggs and vanilla.
- Stir the dry mixture into the butter mixture, then fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded spoonfuls onto the sheets, leaving space between them, and sprinkle with sea salt.
- Bake for 10 minutes per batch, until the centers are set, then cool on the sheets for 5 minutes.
