Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter
- 3 cups sugar
- 6 large eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups fresh peaches
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk or cream
Steps
- Heat the oven to 325 F and grease a 10-inch tube pan with butter.
- Beat the butter and sugar in a large bowl until fluffy, about 4 minutes.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the sour cream and vanilla.
- Whisk the flour, salt, and baking soda in another bowl, then mix them into the batter.
- Fold in the peaches, spread the batter in the pan, and bake for 75 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the cake in the pan for 30 minutes, then cool it fully on a rack.
- Whisk the powdered sugar and milk, then drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake.
