- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup packed light-brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans or almonds
- 2 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
- 1/4 cup salted butter
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups powdered sugar
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and grease a 9-by-13-inch baking pan.
- Whisk the flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt in a bowl.
- Melt the butter, then whisk in the eggs and vanilla before stirring in the dry mixture and pecans.
- Spread the batter in the pan and bake for 22 to 25 minutes, until the center is set.
- Scatter the marshmallows over the hot brownies and bake for 2 to 3 minutes, until puffed.
- Melt the salted butter with the milk and cocoa powder in a saucepan, remove it from the heat, whisk in the vanilla and powdered sugar, and spread the frosting over the marshmallows.
