M&M Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups m&m's

Steps

  1. Whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
  2. Beat the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy, then beat in the egg, yolk, and vanilla.
  3. Mix in the dry ingredients, then fold in the M&M candies.
  4. Cover the dough and chill it for 2 hours.
  5. Heat the oven to 350 F and place dough portions on lined baking sheets.
  6. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, then cool the cookies on the sheets.
