Ingredients
- 1 lb uncooked shrimp
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp fresh garlic
- 3/8 cup white wine
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1 1/2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 8 oz pappardelle or fettuccini pasta
- freshly grated black pepper
Steps
- Boil salted water in a large pot, cook the pappardelle according to the package directions, and drain it.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat, add the garlic, and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add the shrimp, salt, and pepper, and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, turning once, until opaque and at least 145 F.
- Pour in the wine and cream, and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the lemon juice and Parmesan, add the pasta, and toss for 2 minutes.
