Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg room temperature
- 2 tbsp lemon zest
- 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 tsp lemon extract
- 2 1/2 drops of yellow food coloring
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and line baking sheets with parchment.
- Whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Beat the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth, then beat in the egg.
- Beat in the lemon zest, lemon juice, lemon extract, and food coloring.
- Stir in the dry mixture and white chocolate chips, then bake tablespoon-sized portions for 8 to 10 minutes.
