These chewy oat cookies mix brown sugar, oats, and leftover chocolate pieces before baking until lightly browned.

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 cup white flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 1/2 cups large flake oats
- 2 cups smarties m & m's or chopped up chocolate bars
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and line two baking sheets.
- Beat the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs and vanilla.
- Stir in the flour, baking soda, and oats until combined.
- Fold in the candy or chopped chocolate.
- Drop 24 portions onto the sheets and bake for 9 minutes.
