Ingredients
- 24 oz bread cubes
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 large onions
- 2 cups celery
- 6 cloves garlic
- salt and pepper (optional)
- 3 tbsp fresh sage
- 3 tbsp fresh parsley
- 3 tbsp fresh rosemary
- 2 1/2 cups chicken stock
- 2 large eggs
- 1/3 cup fresh herbs
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9-by-13-inch baking dish with cooking oil.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat and cook the onions, celery, and garlic for 12 minutes.
- Stir the bread cubes, cooked vegetables, sage, parsley, rosemary, fresh herbs, salt, and pepper together in a large bowl.
- Whisk the chicken stock and eggs together, then mix them into the bread mixture.
- Spread the stuffing in the baking dish and bake for 45 minutes, until the center reaches 165°F and the eggs are firm.
- Rest the stuffing for 10 minutes before serving.
