3 cups unsweetened shredded coconut
1 tsp ground turmeric (optional)

3 tbsp maple syrup
1 heaping tbsp coconut oil
1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 pinch sea salt
3/4 cup chopped vegan dark chocolate
1 tbsp coconut oil

Steps

Heat the oven to 350 F and line a baking sheet.
Stir the coconut, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, pepper, cardamom, maple syrup, 1 heaping tablespoon coconut oil, vanilla, and salt in a bowl.
Shape the mixture into 20 mounds on the baking sheet.
Bake for 12 to 14 minutes, until the edges turn golden.
Melt the dark chocolate with 1 tablespoon coconut oil.
Drizzle the chocolate over the cooled macaroons and let it set for 3 minutes.
