Ingredients
- 1 head broccoli
- 1 tsp oil
- 1/2 tbsp dried italian herbs or 2 tbs. fresh herbs
- 8 oz whole wheat penne pasta
- 8 oz mushrooms
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1/2 tbsp flour
- sea salt
Steps
- Heat the oven to 425 F.
- Toss broccoli with oil, Italian herbs, and salt on a baking sheet, then roast for 20 minutes.
- Boil salted water in a large pot, cook the penne until tender, and drain it.
- Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet, saute the mushrooms for 6 minutes, and stir in the garlic.
- Melt the remaining butter in the skillet, stir in the flour, and cook for 1 minute.
- Add the pasta and roasted broccoli, toss with the skillet sauce, and season with salt.
