Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 large yellow onion
- 2 packages mild taco seasoning
- 1 can (14 1/2 oz) petite diced tomatoes
- 1 can (4 oz) diced green chilies
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can (10 3/4 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 bag dorito's nacho cheese
- 1 1/2 cups jack cheese
- 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and grease a 9-by-13-inch baking dish with oil.
- Cook the ground beef and onion in a large skillet over medium heat for 8 minutes, until the beef reaches 160 F.
- Stir in the taco seasoning, tomatoes, green chilies, sour cream, and mushroom soup, then simmer for 5 minutes.
- Spread half the crushed chips in the baking dish and cover them with half the beef mixture.
- Repeat the layers, then top with the jack cheese, cheddar cheese, and remaining chips.
- Bake for 15 minutes until the casserole is hot and the cheese melts.
