Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups old fashioned rolled oats
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- 2/3 cup shredded unsweetened coconut
- 1/2 cup honey
- 3 tbsp light brown sugar
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp + 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup crisp rice cereal
- 3/4 cup dried fruit
Steps
- Heat the oven to 325 F and grease an 8-inch square pan with cooking oil.
- Mix the oats, walnuts, almonds, coconut, rice cereal, dried fruit, and salt in a large bowl.
- Warm the honey, brown sugar, butter, and vanilla in a saucepan over medium heat for 3 minutes.
- Stir the warm honey mixture into the oat mixture, press it firmly into the pan, and bake for 20 minutes.
- Cool the bars completely for 10 minutes before cutting them into 12 pieces.
