Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg
- 10 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 6 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and grease two mini donut pans with cooking oil.
- Whisk the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg in a bowl.
- Beat the butter and sugar until light, then mix in the eggs and vanilla.
- Fold the dry mixture into the butter mixture, alternating with the buttermilk, until just combined.
- Fill the donut wells two-thirds full and bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Mix the remaining sugar with the cinnamon, brush the warm donuts with melted butter, and coat them in the cinnamon sugar.
