Ingredients
- 1 lb medium shrimp
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/4 tsp salt (optional)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 large lime (optional)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
Steps
- Peel and mince the garlic, and chop the cilantro while the shrimp drain for 5 minutes.
- Season the shrimp with cumin, salt, and black pepper.
- Heat the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat for 1 minute.
- Cook the garlic for 30 seconds, then add the shrimp and cook for 3 minutes per side.
- Remove the skillet from the heat, stir in lime juice and cilantro, and cook until the shrimp are opaque and reach 145 F.
