Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 cup 60% cacao bittersweet chocolate baking chips
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- vanilla ice cream (optional)
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and grease a 12-inch oven-safe skillet.
- Beat the butter, sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl until smooth, then beat in the eggs and vanilla.
- Stir in the flour, baking soda, and salt until a dough forms, then fold in the chocolate chips and pecans.
- Press the dough evenly into the skillet and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the center is firm.
- Cool the skillet cookie for 10 minutes before cutting, and add vanilla ice cream if using.
