Ingredients
- 1/2 beet
- 1/2 potato boiled
- 1/2 cup oats
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp thick tomato paste or pureed roasted tomato
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp salt or to taste (optional)
- 1/4 tsp chili powder/chili flakes/black pepper (optional)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Steps
- Mash the boiled potato and chickpeas in a medium bowl.
- Grate the beet and mix it with the oats, garlic, tomato paste, cumin, salt, chili powder, and chana masala.
- Shape the mixture into eight small patties and rest them for 10 minutes.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the patties for 4 minutes per side, until browned and heated through.
