Ingredients
- 8 thinly sliced pieces of sourdough baguette
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4 large strawberries
- 4 large basil leaves
- 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 tsp balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 tsp lemon zest
- kosher salt and pepper
- 8 oz brie cheese
Steps
- Slice the strawberries and basil, then toss them with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, lemon zest, salt, and pepper.
- Spread butter on one side of each sourdough slice.
- Place Brie on the unbuttered sides of four slices and top with the strawberry mixture.
- Close the sandwiches with the remaining bread, keeping the buttered sides outside.
- Grill the sandwiches in a large skillet over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes per side, until golden and the Brie melts.
