- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 beef top round steak
- 2 large carrots
- 1 rib celery
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 3 cups hot cooked brown rice
Steps
- Mix the flour, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish, then coat the steak on all sides.
- Place the carrots, celery, garlic, bay leaf, and Italian seasoning in a 6-quart slow cooker.
- Set the coated steak over the vegetables, then pour in the tomato sauce and Worcestershire sauce.
- Cover and cook on low for 7 hours, until the beef reaches 145 F and is tender.
- Remove the bay leaf, slice the steak, and serve it over the hot cooked brown rice.
