Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 yellow cake mix
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 cups mini-marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 white sugar
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups rice crispies cereal
  • 2 cup salted peanuts
  • 1 cup candy corn

Steps

  1. Melt the butter in a 3-quart saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Stir in the corn syrup, brown sugar, white sugar, and peanut butter, then bring the mixture to a gentle boil for 2 minutes.
  3. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the marshmallows and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Fold in the cereal, peanuts, and candy corn until evenly coated.
  5. Press the mixture into a greased 9-by-13-inch pan and cool for 5 minutes before cutting.
