Ingredients
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tbsp dijon mustard
- heaping 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 cups whole milk
- 2/3 cup grated gruyère cheese
- 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh chives
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 5 slices thinly sliced ham
Steps
- Heat the oven to 425 F with a 12-inch oven-safe skillet inside for 10 minutes.
- Whisk the eggs, mustard, salt, pepper, flour, and milk in a medium bowl until smooth.
- Carefully add the butter to the hot skillet and swirl until melted.
- Arrange the ham in the skillet and sprinkle the Gruyère over it.
- Pour in the batter and bake for 20 to 22 minutes, until puffed and the center is set.
- Sprinkle the chives over the baked Dutch baby.
